The kinestore (2009) is a cinematic manifesto of a metamorphic store.
The metamorphosing façade also features flexible solar panels. Depending on the type of passers-by being either cars or pedestrians, the façade can interactively respond and take on a certain shape. This way a more open view deeper into the store can be created or a more enclosed background can suddenly give focus to what is exhibited in the shop window.
According to the scenario the flexible curved slats can take on a rigid status in a straight position by being tilted via a rectilinear flexible hinge.
